Reelfoot Lake State Park Boat Cruises

May - Pontoon Boat Cruises - Reelfoot Lake State Park
Guided Scenic Boat Cruises to observe birds and natural beauty of Reelfoot Lake. Each tour departs from the Visitor Center at 9 a.m. and lasts approximately 3 hours. Trips at 1:30 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. on weekends. Weekend afternoon trips last about 1 1/2 hours. CONTACT: 731-253-9652 for reservations and information

June - July - August - Moonlight Boat Cruise - Reelfoot Lake State Park
Take a cruise under a full moon on Reelfoot Lake to observe it's natural beauty after dark. Reservations required. 731-253-9652

June - July - August - Sunset Boat Cruise - Reelfoot Lake State Park This cruise is an opportunity to experience the serenity of beautiful Reelfoot Lake. Reservations required. 731-253-9652

June - July - August - Cookout Cruise - Reelfoot Lake State Park Cruise includes a cookout (hot dogs, chips, soft drinks) on Caney Island. Our tours fill quickly, therefore, reservations are recommended. Reservations for groups are required. 731-253-9652 for schedule and reservations

October - Fall Color Boat Cruises - Reelfoot Lake State Park Enjoy the Beautiful fall colors and observe a variety of migratory birds on Special pontoon boat cruises. (731) 253-9652

Nature Activities

Canoeing

Deep Swamp Canoe Trip - A wetland trip through unique areas of Reelfoot Lake's Cypress Swamp. Reservations required. Call 731-253-9652. Other trips may be schedule for groups with canoes.

Hiking

Swamp Tromp - Reelfoot Lake State Park
Take a wet walk to observe huge cypress trees and a unique wetland ecosystem. Registration is required. This trip may be scheduled for groups on other dates. 731-253-9652

Bird and Wildlife Viewing

EAGLE TOURS - American Bald Eagle and Waterfowl Tours begin January 2 and continue through mid-March. Buses will leave daily at 10:00 AM from Reelfoot Lake State Park Airpark Inn. Tours will last approximately 2 hours. There is a moderate charge for this tour and reservations should be made in advance. Call 1-800-250-8617.

National Geographic - Tennessee Bird Watching - Many varieties of birds live at Reelfoot lake.

Festivals and Events

January - March - Slide Shows and guest speakers - Airpark Inn
Slide shows and videos are offered on Friday nights. Guest Speaker Programs are presented each Saturday night at 7:00 PM in the Airpark Reelfoot Room. Call for program of scheduled guest speakers.

July - Fireworks over Reelfoot Lake - Reelfoot Lake State Park

October - The Reelfoot Lake Arts and Crafts Festival. Near Reelfoot Lake Visitors Center (731) 253-7276. Over 300 exhibitors from several states and thousands of shoppers descend upon the lake for the three day annual fall event.
